Library Card Applications

Happy Halloween Everybody!

Whoever is here this Friday, would one of you (at the end of the day)take all the library card applications and put them on my desk...I need to put them in order, count them and send them to Central when I get back on Monday, and I don't want to have to sift through the November apps to find the October ones.

Pharos - Adding money to card from desk (important how to)

Hello from Frank!

Ever want to put money on someone's card when the Virtual Cash Acceptor isn't working, but Pharos can't find the card? The trick, I learned today, is that the card must first be scanned by the Virtual Acceptor, then you will be able to find it on Pharos.

Job Search class Available!!

Hi-diddly-ho Neighborinos!

I just finished uploading the new and improved Job Search class. I think you guys will find it very interesting. A big thank you to James for serving as chief editor on this project. Wasif I hope you and the Mobile Express unit find this class to be very "up-to-date" but feel free to tweak around with it, if needed. Let me know what other great ideas you guys have for new upcoming computer classes so we can get started on them as soon as possible!

Coverage @ Frank Library

Frank Library will need coverage from October 25 - January 25. HPL Express staff will be scheduled to work at Frank starting Saturday, October 25. This may only be necessary for October - December. When a substantial date is determined for the new facility, the current Frank location will close to accommodate the move to the new facility. Thanks for you cooperation and flexibility. Slide backgrounds

Hey all,
The Mobile team decided we wanted a unified look for all our presentations on the bus, so I made a master slide to use as a background. (Docs wouldn't let me upload images, so if you want the background as a JPEG, lemme know.) You'll notice it looks rather familiar (or perhaps that's just because I've been staring at our FEMA powerpoint too long), but we wanted to have it available so we don't have to reinvent the wheel everytime we do a new presentation. Feel free to use it, and of course, any suggestions on how to make it more graphically awesome are always welcome.

Buying New Computer

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all doing great. I have just completed my PowerPoint presentation on Things to Look for when buying a new desktop or laptop computers. Please look at the presentation and let me know what need to be added or deleted as I am still in the learning phase of my job. Also this presentation is designed for patrons of HPL Express Southwest not for Mobile Express as our purpose is different. The Network Implementation Project (NIP) team will be performing maintenance at the SW Service Center, at 6400 High Star, Monday, October 20, 2008, between the hours of 6:00a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

All access to server, applications and resources at will be unavailable during outage window.

Computer Class Attendance Sheets

Hello All,
Starting in October we will use a standard Computer Class sign in-sheet for attendance. I will print out some copies and place them in the manila folder that is in the children's storage closet. Please keep them together so that I can compile them at the end of the month.
