Learning Link Card Expiration Date

From Fred Schumacher, 5/18:

The user privilege expiration dates for the Learning Link cards in the system have been extended to 08/31/17.  Every student with a Learning Link card now has access to our materials through the coming summer.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

UPDATE: From Fred, 5/24:
Last week we attempted to reset expiration dates for Learning Link cards in the system, and I reported that the update had been done and the change would appear after the nightly Halt-and-Run process.  Unfortunately, the changes that we made did not result in the global update of Learning Link expiration dates as we believed it would.

Tonight (Wednesday, May 24, 2017), beginning at 6:00 PM, we will be running a report that will update the user expiration date in each individual Learning Link account. During the time the report is running, there may be some system slowness. Since the Learning Link user records are being updated, this could temporarily affect access those accounts in Workflows and Enterprise.  SirsiDynix has assured us that if this happens, the record will be available again momentarily. We are scheduling a report over night that should prevent any indexing issues as a result of these updates.

If you experience any issues tomorrow morning, please report them to the Help Desk.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me, Esther Reyes or Circulation Administration.

Problem Accessing Learning Link Pages

From Marianne Lorio, 1:36PM:
I’ve heard reports that we’ve been getting calls from teachers stating they are having issues accessing the Learning Link webpages. After talking to the HISD Tech Support it is obvious that we are going to need to get more details before we address the issue. If a teacher having this issue contacts you please get the following information:

·         What browser is being used? If possible, what version of the browser is it?
·         When exactly are they having the issue? Can they get to the student hub? If not what is the address of the webpage they are on (including http:// or https://)?
·         Are they physically in a school?
·         Are they using a school issued device or a personal one?

If possible please also get their name and e-mail so that I can contact them if necessary. Please send the information in an e-mail to me and copy the IT Helpdesk. Your assistance and patience is appreciated?
