Citizenship Toolkits are Circulating!

From International Services, 9/14:

The Civics and Citizenship Toolkits are going out! HERE is the instructional slideshow that provides instructions for the checkout and check-in procedures for the Citizenship Toolkits. Please see below for a few key points:
  • The check-in/checkout procedure is similar to FLIP kits, except there are 3 essential components that must be returned in order for the Toolkit to be considered complete. These 3 items are indicated with an asterisk (*) on a list pasted on the inside flap of each Toolkit.
  • If the 3 essential components are returned, the Toolkit remains in circulation. If any of the essential components are missing, the appropriate charges should be applied (refer to the slides), and the Toolkit should be checked out to your location’s refurb account (e.g. CEN-REFURB) and sent to LMS, ATTN: Gary Lackey.
  • Every location will receive one reference copy, and 77 additional Toolkits will go into circulation. Those locations which are closed will receive the reference copy when the location re-opens.
If you or any of your staff members have any questions about the new procedure, you may contact Circulation Administration (832-393-2222, option 3), Esther Reyes (esther.reyes@houstontx.gov or 832-393-1605) or Sylvia Espinosa (sylvia.espinosa@houstontx.gov or 832-393-1434). As always, you can also contact Jessica Stanley (832-393-1696) or myself (832-393-1511) with questions as well.

A huge thank you to the LMS, LST, Central & CE Admin, and the Spaces teams for their help with the creation of this procedure and the implementation of these Toolkits. Again, please do not hesitate to contact any us if you have any questions or concerns.
