important information regarding SRP registration for the 2016 summer

Here is some important information regarding SRP registration for the 2016 summer.

-Traditionally we have done SRP registration starting on May 1^st, with the program not actually starting (logs and prizes) until June 1^st. 

THIS YEAR: since we are giving books away as registration prizes, we want registration and prize pickup to happen simultaneously.  Therefore registration for the public won’t start until June 1^st.  ONLY schools will be able to pre-register starting May 1^st (only schools have been given a registration link to evanced).  We are opening up registration early to schools so that staff can help sign kids up before they leave on summer break.  If a teacher signs up students in his/her class, they are being directed to contact the youth person at their local HPL location to coordinate their prize pickup/drop-off.  We have leftover books from previous years that will be used to fill these requests, until our order of additional books arrives in mid May.  If you have a teacher contact you needing book prizes for registration, please contact Michelle Johnson and CC: Sara Pope, so that we can get them out to you ASAP.  You can coordinate with your teacher to arrange for prize pick-up/drop-off whatever works best for you, them, and the staff at your location.
