Changes to the Citizenship Test

Hello,
As you all probably know the citizenship test will change in October of this year. When asked how this affects people applying Benito responded:

"USCIS informed us that those submitting their application before October 1st 2008 will be tested with the current version. Those that apply after October 1st 2008 will be tested with the new one.

I will talk to Melton because you will have to continue to provide the classes in the current format at least to the end of the year. For those applying now it may take a year 1/2 to receive their appointment for the interview. When people star to register for the citizenship class after October 1st you will need to ask them the date they filed the application to make sure you know in which class they need to be placed."

What this means is that come October we will probably have two different Citizenship classes going on at the same time. Please disseminate this information in the citizenship classes.
